BrakeTech USA is very pleased to bring to your attention the patented SuperAxe™ series full-floating brake rotors for the discriminating Harley enthusiast.  Not just another in a myriad of stylized custom rotors, the patented SuperAxe features a unique advanced floating architecture developed around the highly innovative and successful AXIS Design race rotors.  Unlike all other conventional floating rotors, the SuperAxe utilizes the exclusive Direct-Link™ load transfer system making the floater buttons non-load bearing; they control float only.  This patented design focuses all braking forces to act directly on the substantial thrust face surface area between the outer blade and inner carrier, greatly increasing load transfer capacity and assembly strength.

Carriers are CNC machined from high tensile strength US spec 6061-T6 billet aluminum.  Available in Black Diamond hard anodize or deep chrome plated finishes.  Two styles of floater buttons in both black and chrome allows further customizing to match or contrast the rotor assembly.

Another Industry first; the SuperAxe features premium 420 series stainless outers that are Cryogenically processed to enhance both material stability and well as improved wear resistance.

Attention Rear Brake Only Riders

  The simple truth is we do not recommend floating brake rotors - of any type - if you use the rear brake as your primary braking instrument.  The SuperAxe floating brake rotors are intended for use in balanced braking, front in concert with rear.  Disproportionate use of the rear will result in accelerated wear of the billet aluminum center carrier thrust faces.  Even with our patented AXIS system of employing greater surface area for load transfer, this type of braking will prematurely cause material deformation and early retirement of the rotor...and will not be covered under warranty as it is not considered a failure of materials or workmanship.

In large part, this is also why motorcycle manufacturers have embraced balanced brake systems (ABS, Linked-Brake™, etc.) to address the problems associated with the rear brake only crowd.

For this type of rider, we recommend the OEM type of non-floating, solid mount rotor.
